Kolkata Knight Riders are up for the final challenge - IPL 2018

As we are going into the final matches of IPL league stage the race for last two playoff stops has intensified with not 2 or 3 but 4/5 teams eying the possible third and fourth spot in the top four.

 

Kolkata Knight Riders is one of the favorite to seal one of the last two spot currently but there is twist now with RCB and MI coming off not only with wins but with better run rates then KKR and currently sitting with 12 points each. If RCB/MI wins their last matches they ends up with 14 points each with more improved run rate and are going to tie with KKR if KKR finds them self on the wrong side in tonight's match against SRH.

So this match of KKR with SRH tonight is most critical for KKR then SRH as latter has already qualified for the playoffs. 

And going by the current form of KKR in last two matches they are hot favorite in tonight's match vs SRH. 

Here is the look at the points table as of today. 

A win against SRH tonight will place KKR in play offs. even there is chance of KKR finishing in top two as well if KKR beats SRH tonight with big margin which will improve KKR's run rate and Punjab beats CSK with big margin which can bring down the run rate of CSK below KKR in this case both KKR and CSK can finish with 16 points each and KKR can seal the 2nd spot with better run rate but this all depends on the results of tonight's match against SRH.
