Happy New Year
Shah Rukh Khan’s most awaited Diwali release returns to the emirate as the crew of ‘Happy New Year’ make a comeback to these shores to shoot some additional scenes.
The Dubai Film and TV Commission confirmed the news, posting a statement on its official Facebook account saying: “We are excited to have the crew of the much anticipated Bollywood movie, ‘Happy New Year’ back in Dubai to film some additional scenes here.
‘Which Dubai landmarks do you think will feature in the film?’

Fans may have spotted the film crew around town already, however, sighting of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan and even Farah Khan maybe a long while coming.
Khan is currently recovering from his minor eye surgery that was conducted on June 23. He tweeted from his bedside on Thursday morning saying:
“This bed rest thingy has altered my reality completely. Day/night seem the same as long as the curtains are drawn. Coffee to sleep maybe?”
Meanwhile, Padukone was last sighted somewhere in Barcelona at a coffee shop with rumoured beau Ranveer Singh, who is filming for ‘Dil Dhadkne Do’ aboard a cruise liner.
Once back, the actress is expected to jet off to Corsica for a 30-day shoot with former boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor for Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Tamasha’.
Bachchan, we hear, is still firmly holed up in Mumbai, flitting his time between shooting for ‘All is Well’ and catching up on the FIFA World Cup matches.
Incidentally, we also hear that the film crew of ’All is Well’ also have Dubai in their sights for an extension of their shoot.
Meanwhile, even ‘Happy New Year’ director Farah Khan is missing in action with a vacation in place. Will it be via Dubai, who knows?
Until then the director surfaced on June 21 to simply tweet: “Finally taking a family holiday. Bye-bye Twitter for a week.”
