Yeh Rishta... recreates SRK-Deepika moment from Chennai Express!!

Recreating scenes from hit Bollywood movies seems to be an attractive addition in TV shows.

This time the makers of Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai decided to add a hint of Bollywood style romance to spice up things in an upcoming episode that celebrates the love between the leads - Naitik (Karan Mehra) and Akshara (Hina Khan).

Everyone is aware of the popular sequence from Chennai Express where Shahrukh Khan lifts his lady love Deepika Padukone in his arms and climbs 800 steps of a mandir as part of a marriage ritual. Television is not far behind, reinventing this sequence and in the same location at Waiwill be the leads of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Naitik will be seen carrying his pretty onscreen wife Akshara in his arms and climbing a fleet of stairs of the same mandir thus bringing alive the magic that was created by Bollywood's super hit jodi.

After great movies like Chennai Express, Swades, Gangajal & Mrityudand being shot in the background of the beautiful Wai, the makers of Yeh Rishta picked on this destination to shoot some romantic sequences given the weather and picturesque location to celebrate the anniversary track of Akshara & Naitik.

The town has beautiful temples and a lot of visitors frequent this place for holidays. "Yes, I carried Hina up the stairs and it was a mighty but fun task. Shooting in Wai was a beautiful experience, the weather was very pleasant and the temples we visited had some beautiful carvings that were etched decades ago and the entire place in itself had so much to offer, I definitely think that everyone should visit this place and are likely to fall in love once more," says Karan Mehra.

The upcoming episodes will reveal the fact that Akshara & Naitik wanted to holiday abroad but on the insistence of Akshara's mother they diverted their plan to visit the Kuldevi temple in Wai.With this it has been proven that the king of romance - SRK's romantic style has gripped even our small screen in a big way.
