I am enjoying working with Rohit Shetty - SRK

One hundred miles from his home in Mumbai, Shah Rukh Khan is busy shooting for Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express in Wai. In fact, if things go as per schedule, the actor wouldn’t be home for Christmas either.

And we found out the actor has made himself quite at home at the Ravine hotel in Panchgani, where he has been putting up along with co-star Deepika Padukone for the past few days.

So much so that when he needed to meet the media, he summoned them there on December 19. Since the King Khan had beckoned, it was a full house. And SRK arrived with his co-star Deepika.

And the pleasant weather seemed to bring out the actor’s effervescent self. He raved about Wai — its ‘shooting-friendly’ residents, picture perfect scenery, romantic locales (where he has been shooting with Deepika) and finally spoke about working with Shetty.

“I may be working with him for the first time, but I am enjoying this,” said the actor and described how the director has designed some seriously scary stunts for him to perform. “It’s in his lineage,” SRK added.

We found out that though SRK has been using his car to travel to the sets every morning, 5 am to be exact, on occasions when he needs to be at home, he calls in his chopper to Panchgani. The sets, incidentally, is massive.

And the crew consists of about 200-250 people. Perhaps inspired by ‘beautiful’ Wai, SRK surprised everybody with a sudden announcement about his possible return to television.

“It’s been long since I have seen myself on TV. I will do something soon,” said the actor who started his career on the small screen and returned later for shows like KBC, Kya Aap Paanchvi Paas Se Tez Hain and Zor Ka Jhatka.

“I think we should now follow Hollywood and make TV shows with film actors. It takes about three to four months of work and I feel that should be the next step for Indian television. I already had a chat with Punit (Goenka, CEO Zee) about this.

So let's see… I am an actor and story telling is what we do — be it on the silver screen or TV, a good story is always interesting to watch,” he concluded.
