SRK is getting ready for IIFA

Toronto is eagerly waiting to witness a dazzling weekend complete with Bollywood stars and some scintillating performances with IIFA kick-staring on 24th June, 2011.
However, reports of King Khan giving the event a miss disappointed his fans in Toronto who were excited to get a glimpse of their superstar. But just a small tweet from Shah Rukh Khan has set the record straight.
SRK, who was shooting in Hyderabad for Ra.One, returned to Mumbai on Tuesday. He revealed on his micro-blog, "Back in Mumbai. I want to thank Anubhav, Tarun, Manikandan & the crew for making the hectic Ra.One schedule possible. I am nursing knee injury to get ready for IIFA. I wish Toronto was closer to Bandra. Shiamak and team are making the dance steps easier for me."
It was earlier reported that SRK, who was scheduled to perform at IIFA after seven long years, may have to give it a miss due to his knee injury. The show will be hosted by Karan Johar and Anushka Sharma and there will be performances by SRK, Neha Dhupia, Dia Mirza, Mallika Sherawat, the cast of Double Dhamaal, and Shankar-Eshaan-Loy.
