I want to work with both SRK and Aamir: Miss India Ankita

After winning the Miss India International crown, Ankita Shorey has now set her sight on Bollywood and has both Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan on her wish list of co-stars.

The model says that films are her first love and she wants to live out her life in front of the cameras.

"Acting is and will always be my first love. Even before I won the pageant, I was working towards becoming an actress and the crown will hopefully ease my way a bit," Ankita told PTI.

The 24-year-old who has already shared screen space with King Khan in an advertisement for a cosmetics brand said that he has immense commercial appeal while Aamir has an "experimental edge".

"I want to live my entire life on the big screen and want to work with all the top names in the industry. I love both Shah Rukh and Aamir. Aamir is a fearless actor who experiments a lot while Shah Rukh has unparalleled commercial success. SRK just sweeps you off your feet with his charm," said Ankita.

The pageant winner says that it is the best time to be a newcomer in Bollywood as the industry has spawned various genres to choose from.

"We have everything from typical masala song and dance to experimental films coming out of the industry. That gives an aspiring actor a lot of opportunity and more than anything I want to prove my versatility," said Ankita, offering the example of another former Miss India, Priyanka Chopra.

"She has done everything, from a 'Dostana' to a 'Saat Khoon Maaf' and I aspire to do the same," she added.

From studying at a Buddhist monastery to a degree in history, the beauty says that her early years have equipped her well for life in the fast lane.

"I spent eight years in Ladakh where I studied a missionary school and attended a Buddhist monastery after school. Because my father is in the army I have travelled a lot and so when I moved to Mumbai three years ago I was well prepared," said the beauty queen.

And before she starts chasing her celluloid dreams, Ankita has another job at hand, winning the Miss International pageant for India.

"Once I get back to Mumbai the training will begin and it will be a strenuous five months but I am committed to bringing the crown back home. That is my top priority now," said Ankita.

"I have got a lot of love from people and I want to work hard and win the crown for them. When I came to Delhi after winning the pageant, I got such an amazing reception. That just made my commitment stronger," said Ankita.
